Special Features of Prayer Beads from 95 Prayers
Our desire is to create heirloom quality prayer beads. These time-enduring designs contain only the highest quality beads and materials.
We chose a design having a single strand of beads that has two sections-nineteen beads and five beads. We believe that this design is aesthetically pleasing, lightweight, compact, economical and easy to use.
All prayer beads feature
A "siyyid" tail composed of green bead that symbolizes the Báb as a siyyid, a descendant of the Prophet Mohammed, and two crystals that signify the Báb and Bahá'u'lláh as twin Manifestations.
A tasseled end featuring a sterling silver nine-pointed star representing the Bahá'í Era.
An elegant carrying pouch that encloses the Bahá'í quotes inspiring the design and explaining the materials and symbolism.
How To Use Your Prayer Beads
Notice that your beads consist of three parts: (1) the siyyid tail and 5 beads, (2) a transition which is made up of either small seed beads or one unique bead, and (3) 19 beads with a tassel. With these beads, you can count out 5 rounds of 19 "Alláh-u-Abhás" (5 x 19 = 95).
Arrange the beads so that the 19 beads are in your writing hand and the 5 beads are in your non-dominant hand. Now position your fingers on the first bead on either side of the transition. Move your writing hand down the chain of 19 beads-each time your hand moves over a bead, say "Alláh-u-Abhá". When your writing hand reaches the tassel, move it back to the first of the 19 beads, and move your other hand down one bead towards the tail.
Repeat this process until you finish saying "Alláh-u-Abhá" 19 times for each of the 5 beads.
