Inspiration
O Maid-servant of God! Verily, that child is born and is alive and from him will appear wondrous things that thou wilt hear of in the future. Thou shalt behold him endowed with the most perfect appearance, supreme capacity, absolute perfection, consummate power and unsurpassed might. His face will shine with a radiance that illumines all the horizons of the world; therefore forget this not as long as thou dost live in-as-much-as ages and centuries will bear traces of him. Symbolism
These beads are dedicated to the Guardian based on 'Abdu'l-Bahá’s reference to him as the “Priceless Pearl”. The abalone shell was chosen for its iridescence and light reflecting qualities. The name given to Shogi Effendi lends itself to the use of pearls. Historically the pearl has always been valued for its luninessence. The two crystals signify the Báb and Bahá’u’lláh as twin Manifestations. The green bead symbolizes the Báb as a siyyid--a descendant of the Prophet Mohammed. The nine pointed star represents the Bahá'í Era.

Materials

Set of 5 beads: polished nuggets of abalone shell.
Set of 19 beads: authentic fresh water pearls.
Seed beads: Japanese Delica and Miyuki beads—the industry’s highest quality glass beads due to the precision of shape.
Bead cord: a German product made from silk or polyamid–materials that provide durability with minimal stretching.
Siyyid tail: the two clear beads are Swarowski Austrian lead crystals; the green bead is Taiwanese Jade.
Nine-pointed star: sterling silver.
