Even as the clouds let us shed down tears, and as the lightning flashes let us laugh at our coursings through east and west. By day, by night, let us think but of spreading the sweet savours of God. Symbolism
This prayer bead design is dedicated in loving memory of Hand of the Cause of God William Sears’ innumerable and selfless contributions for the Faith and for his work with children. Like a child’s drawings, the glass figures reflect an innocence happy free spirit. The 19 beads represent marbles. The “game of marbles” is played universally (in various forms) by children all around the world. The “shooter” is put in the 9th position representing the Faith. In playing marbles the shooter is always needed to make any move. The two clear beads signify the Báb and Bahá'u'lláh as twin Manifestations. The jade bead symbolizes the Báb as a siyyid—a descendant of the Prophet Mohammed.

Materials

Glass figures: finest quality Czech glass handmade by a Bohemian master glass bead designer, Alena.
Round beads: semi-precious stones (Unakite, Tigers Eye, Hemarite, Snowflake Obsidian, Goldstone, etc.) and some Czech glass. Bead cord: a German product made from silk or polyamid – materials that provide durability with minimal stretching.
Siyyid tail: Austrian lead crystals and jade bead.
Nine-pointed Star: sterling silver.
